OBJECTIVE
The Bob Hope Theater, is a movie theater created for entertainment for military personnel, veterans and their families. Located inside the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar; the movie theater offers an enjoyable environment and an affordable option for the military community. The Bob Hope Theater has been operating without a website and an outdated branding system. To communicate the brands personality and it's goals, the company needs: a clean website targeting active duty personnel 18-40 and veterans 45-65, easy access to showtimes, the ability to buy tickets and obtain facility information.
SOLUTION
The website ad the brand was designed using Futura, which portraits the new, fresh, and sophisticated look of the company without loosing their friendly personality towards it's target audience. Modern shades of teal along with grey and black, highlight a clean and modern brand, making the experience more appealing. The website was created by developing an experience map, and a task model using the personas as a guide. A 12 grid layout was used to showcase an effortless experience for the different ranges found in the target audience.
After studying the personas, a site map was created to showcase the goals and objectives of Bob Hope Theater and its users.
This approached allowed the design to be more flexible and simple.
User goals
The website is structured to provide the necessary information and
tasks such as access to tickets and showtimes as the theater information.
Company goals
Bob Hope Theater seeks to get the military community to come to
its establishment and have effortless experience accessing to their website
and movie tickets.
