Currently, the majority of luxury makeup brands are focused toward older demographics. A new brand was needed to fill this gap, bringing the luxury aesthetic to makeup, specifically targeting young women, ages 24–32.
Currently, the majority of luxury makeup brands are focused toward older demographics. A new brand was needed to fill this gap, bringing the luxury aesthetic to makeup, specifically targeting young women, ages 24–32.

Ella is a new makeup brand that strives to empower women by focusing on the user. The name Ella, “she” in Spanish, is meant to celebrate the qualities of women in the 24–32 demographic. The bold emerald green color palette challenges the current market’s overuse of white, beige, and other weaker colors. A playful pinch of pink is used as an accent, lending a sense of nurturing, self-love, and youth. The typeface Grumpy is used in the logo for its elegant, high-contrast construction but with strong feminine confidence. The packaging system uses playful diecuts of the logo, revealing the gold color through the outer emerald green box for a high-end touch.
